Poundfield Products: Based near Ipswich in Suffolk the company was started in 1999 to exploit a unique patented product "The Alfabloc®" for use as a pre-cast concrete retaining wall system. It has many advantages over any other similar product on the market today with easy and fast installation and in most cases no ground fixing. In 2003, the company introduced the 1 metre wide L-bloc and in 2005 the 2 metre wide L-bloc . These are the only prestressed interlocking L-blocs on the market.
In 2007, after some three years in development, the company launched another innovative product; the Betabric pre-cast concrete brick faced panel. Because the panels are manufactured in a controlled factory environment they have a consistent high quality that can be used for cladding for a variety of building applications.
The company's success has been based upon an ability to focus on a problem and develop a solution that is practical in terms of both technology and cost.
